The Shadow of the Wind by Carlos Ruiz Zafón

We have selected The Shadow of the Wind by Carlos Ruiz Zafron to kick off our Spring into Summer Book Club.

Carlos Ruiz Zafron was a Spanish writer who passed away in 2020.

The book is a mystery and suspense novel that follows a young boy and his quest to find out more about a book that he has chosen from the Cemetary of Forgotten Books and also its mysterious author.

Carlos Ruiz Zafron has that special something as an author, transforming a bestselling title into a modern classic. He presents the reader with a setting, Barcelona, and an eclectic cast of characters that are so lovingly rendered with such attention to detail and spirit that they seem to transcend the page.
