From the Desk of the Vice President: The Women’s Guild has a long and rich history of annually disbursing funds to church and local community organizations. I am pleased to announce this year’s (2020-2021 Grant) disbursements to the following OLPH Ministries: OLPH Life After Loss Ministry $500.00 OLPH Sacramental Program. $2,000.00 TOTAL $2,500.00 The Life After Loss Ministry has a was strong connection with the Guild since the original OLPH bereavement ministry started by longtime Guild members Adele Alexander, Jackie Bernal and Mary K. 70th Anniversary Mass 9/25/2021
Update: September 27, 2021 Thank you to all who celebrated 70 years of love and service.The Women’s Guild came together on September 25, 2021 tocelebrate and give thanks. The celebrant was MonsignorMiranda. Deacon Richard Medina assisted the celebrant at the Mass and our very own ChristinePohlen provided the music. Louise Niewarowski and daughter Susan Schaeferpresented flowers to Our Lady of Perpetual Help. It was truly abeautiful event. Summer Concert in the Park 8/11/2021
An Evening of Music & Fun Wed., Aug. 11, 2021 – Furman Park 5pm-8pm Join the Women’s Guild for an evening of music and fellowship on Wednesday, August 11, 2021, at Furman Park. This will be the final show of Downey’s free Concert in the Park series and the Downey Symphony will be performing under the stars.Bring family, friends, your favorite picnic dinner and non-alcoholic drink and join us for a pre-concert get-together.
