March 2023 General Meeting
The OLPH Woman’s Guild March General Meeting is on Wednesday, March 15, 2023, at 10:00 am at the Knights of Columbus Hall located at 1131 Rives Ave. Downey, Ca 90241. The theme is “Irish Charm” and it will feature a dance group from The Aniar Academy Irish Dancers”. The menu is corned beef, cabbage, potatoes, carrots, and a green salad. It will also include soda bread, Irish Chocolate Trifles, and Irish Coffee. Raffle: At the event we will sell tickets to raffle off a Waterford Candy Dish! Bishop Barron-Wonder: The Harmony of Faith and Science
Bishop Robert Barron is an American prelate of the Catholic Church who has served as bishop of the Diocese of Winona-Rochester since 2022. He is the founder of the Catholic ministerial organization Word on Fire. Today, February 13, 2023, Word on Fire premiered the first episode of their new film series, Wonder: The Harmony of Faith and Science. Church Cleaning: Altar Committee
Women’s Guild members and interested parishioners can volunteer their time to tidy up and clean the OLPH Church every Thursday morning. If you are interested in volunteering, you are welcome to come to the church at 9:00 am every Thursday. (A few exception for holidays or Holy Days.). The Altar Committee chairwoman, Margie Delgado, will be there to show you what needs to be done. We thank you in advance for you desire to do this charitable work.
