Hawaiian Sunset Fundraiser
Secure your place at the Luau for the Catholic Women’s Guild “Hawaiian Sunset Summer Dinner Fundraiser”! This event is open to all Women’s Guild members and their family & personal friends! Event reservations and payments are due no later than August 4, 2023. A check can be made to “Catholic Women’s Guild” and placed in an envelope addressed to Linda Malme (see Guild address book) or it may be turned in at the rectory office to place in the Women’s Guild mail folder. Space will fill up quickly! Do not delay!!!

2022-2023 Scholarship Awardees
The Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Women’s Guild Scholarship is awarded once a year to five 8th-grade students who have been accepted to a Catholic High School and also fulfilled one of the following requirements: live in the city of Downey, attend a Downey School or are members of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church. Fourteen applicants submitted portfolios with the required documentation as well as a personal statement. The portfolios included 7th and 8th-grade transcripts, acceptance letters to a Catholic High School, letters of recommendation, and the applicant’s personal statement.
